I came to see Dr. Tek as a second opinion because I didnt care for the way things were at my first Urology facility elsewhere. I was only given a PA and had tests done without ever seeing a Doctor, with mention of surgery. When I saw Dr. Tek, he was great. He listened to all my concerns and answered all my questions. He looked at all my results from my my chart and explained everything to my wife and I. He showed me everything on a screen and explained where I was at. Also telling me that he would never have scheduled any additional testing for me at this time because the issues were very basic and nothing at this time to be concerned about. He scheduled a scan for me in 6 months to be sure nothing had changed. I am so glad I got the appointment with Dr.Tek.

Dr. Tek hands down better than the group referred from my gp.

Advanced Urology facilities are state of the art and everyone that I have come in contact with there has been very professional, knowledgeable and friendly. I am blessed to have Dr Tek as my Urologist. I would definitely recommend them to everyone who needs this type of care.

I was told to come 30 minutes early to fill out paperwork. I was considered a new patient even though I had seen a doctor from this office 10yrs ago. I was called back to a room and seen the nurse and she said he would be in shortly. 30 minutes past and I am still waiting. 60 minutes from my appointment and I walk out to talk to someone and everyone is gone from there desks. I walk to the check out area and I told her that I was leaving and I have been here for a hour and a half and I was not going to wait any longer. She asked for my birthday and I wasnt told they were sorry just said ok. I honestly believe that they all went to lunch and forgot I was in the room!

Had one visit. WS supposed to be set up for a procedure by the nurse. One month later still haven’t heard from them. Guess when I end up in the hospital again for the condition I’ll see the urologist I saw again

Dr. Sawhney is a great doctor. He listens to your concerns and gives the best health advise to you.

Professional and courteous staff. Nice clinic with lots of in-house treatments available. Dr. Sawhney was amazing. Very friendly, knowledgeable and after checking all records, examination and discussing with me, put my mind to ease. Didn’t push any medicine or treatment as it was not necessary. I am an out-of-network patient. I had my initial visit at the Silver Cross Campus office. I have been waiting for a follow up call from the centers Practicioner and I went as far as to go in person to the office to see if there was an issue. That was 3 days ago and still have not heard a word. The Dr. and the Silver Cross Office staff were great.

Carrie DeFuss is the NP to see at Advanced Urology! She is kind, considerate, and very passionate. She spends time with you, listens, and most importantly answers your questions in complete detail! Ive never felt more comfortable with a medical professional in my life! Forever grateful for Carrie.

Been to Dr Andose several times. Good doc nice guy but obviously he has no concerns about his pts time or their schedule. Every time I go I have to wait over an hour sometimes 2 hours to be seen. Don’t plan on being seen anywhere near your appointment time.

My visit and preparation were very professional, courteous, and thorough with Nicole M., Nurse practitioner. I scheduled a same day consult and vasectomy 3 days ahead of time. After the helpful correspondence over the phone, I showed up for my appt and had to sign a few papers that were already filled out with my information. They got me into a room before my scheduled appt time. Hanna, the medical assistant, was extremely nice and informative. She was very thorough and made sure I was left without any questions or concerns. Hanna and Elsa prepped me for my procedure and were both very welcoming and professional. They made any worries I had disappear. Dr Tek made quick work out of my procedure. It only took about 20 min and I felt exactly NO PAIN at all. Hands down this is the best that this could have gone. Thank you Dr Tek and your competent team at Advanced Urology! I recommend them to anybody.

Dr. Marks came highly recommended to me by surgical nurses who work with her on a regular basis. I saw her at her Joliet office a few times before I actually had surgery to repair my urological problem. I understood what she planned on doing and felt she genuinely cared about helping correct my issue.I recently had the surgery and am so thankful for the great job she did! I feel such a relief and as I continue to heal Im sure it will only get better.I would recommend her for women who want/need help with bladder/pelvic prolapse issues!

Dr. Manneke is a great doctor. He does not sugar coat anything he tells it like it is. He explains everything in great detail and takes the time to listen and answer all of your questions. He lets the patient make the decision after he explains the pros and cons of all of your options. The staff is very professional and everyone does their job very well. I did not have to wait. I was taken in within 5 minutes of entering the building.

Doctors are extremely knowledgeable and helpful with answering all questions. Nurses are also very helpful. Additionally the offices are very clean and accommodating. I would highly recommend Advanced Urology for anyone looking for a board certified urologist.

Just had vasectomy procedure today. Was very nervous but got it done. Honestly, I have to say it was a great experience. The nurses and staff really were nice and knowledgeable. (Not quite sure about the other reviews) Dr. Burns was awesome. Explained everything to me and what was going to happen. Opted for the Nitrous to help with the anxiety and it did the trick. Very happy and relieved. Absolutely will be referring to friends. Also, had a bout with renal carcinoma a couple years back and will be coming here for my follow up because of how great they were. The office was nice and clean. Glad I followed through. Lol. Hope this helps.

Can never squeeze you in! I always work 8-4. I get a rare day off and they can’t get me in just to renew a script!

Wonderful doctors and staff. Efficient and informative. All of my questions were answered and they made sure I had all necessary instructions pre and post surgery.

I have had multiple kidney stones and Dr. Richard Burns is the best urology Doctor I have ever had. I am an older guy and have had some experience in getting these stones treated and removed. Dr. Burns definitely knows what he is doing and is using the most current methods for treating this condition. I highly recommend Doctor Burns for all your urology issues. He will explain what is being done and why. Do not hesitate to see this Doctor. I can tell his staff is hand picked and all are very professional at what they do.Just a quick mention about the Lab at Advanced Urology. I am a difficult blood draw because my veins are not very good. The technicians at this lab are really top notch. Great staff with great attitudes.Thank you for all your help and caring attitudes.

I went to Doctor Andros in early 2000 til 2011 and he is so nice and caring i will never forget them they saved my life. 2000 is when i found out that my right kidney stopped working due to reflux in it and they took it out. If they did not take it out i would have been dead. My one kidney is working not the best but he said that might happen but these doctors are the best!!!!! after all these years you would think i would forget them but nope i always remember my heros thanks again for being the best. I live in Missouri now and trying to find doctors like i had are hard to find here.....THANKS AGAIN!!!!

Dr. Andros has followed my husband for many years for kidney and bladder cancer; now takes care of my Dad. He is professional but personable, knowledgeable, very thorough, and is current with research and best practice. He discussed my Dads condition and treatment options in a way he could understand and is always very receptive to questions and concerns. NP Nicole Miroballi couldnt have been nicer, more caring or accommodating. She is a very skilled NP and made a plan of care that was specific for my Dad and his particular needs. Highly recommend Advanced Urology Group!

Time sure flies and I can’t believe I’ve arrived at this point in life. We have two beautiful kids and that is what brought me to Advanced Urology Associates. After two personal referrals I decided this would be the place for getting my vasectomy.I was given an appointment with Dr. Sandeep Sawhney. He was very professional, friendly, and efficient. I’m not the most easy patient to work with when it comes to needles, but he was compassionate and got me through the procedure quickly and with no issues.From here out I’ll have to take care to follow post-op instructions but I think I will be set in short order.Thanks for your services and I highly recommend this office and doctor as well!

Went for a vasectomy with Dr Sawhney, could not have been easier. Dr Sawhney was a great communicator and made the whole experience very comfortable. Nurses were very nice and helpful as well. Job well done.

I could not be happier with how the staff treated me and cured me of my kidney stone. Dr Peter Tek is a great guy and an even better doctor. He made me feel comfortable and cared for and treated me like he genuinely cared for me. I drove all the way from Chicago to the Joliet office and it was well worth the trip. They have a beautiful office with a good sized staff. I arrived early for my appointment and the doctor saw me before my scheduled appointment time. No waiting at all. My procedure was done by Dr Sandeep Sawhney and the procedure was a success. Thank you to all of the staff at Advanced Urology and thank you again to Dr Tek.

At 75 I had my first kidney stone attack. I was referred to Dr. Thai T. Nguyen at Advanced Urology. His expertise and caring manner alievated my concerns, and his nurse Danielle went out of her way to answer all of my questions and concerns. I feel very fortunate that they were there for me during this medical concern.

They do not tell you how long the recovery is for some people it might be a month for me its 7 weeks and Counting and Im still having problems highly disappointed.

The staff at this office is efficient, caring, and professional. Dr Tek and his assistant Hannah were very easy to talk to. They fully explained how my problem will be repaired.I would recommend this office and my doctor to anyone needing urological care.

I have only been there once so I don’t have results, yet but the dr seemed very knowledgeable and friendly. Though, I waited 1.5 hours to be seen and the young reception was very rude. Since it was my first time there, when I made they appointment the girl told me to come a little early before your 9:35 appointment to fill out your paperwork. I showed up 10 minutes early knowing it was only going to take me a few minutes to file out the paperwork but the reception right away when I told her whom I was called in the back and asked them if they could see me. She added that my appointment time was earlier than it really was so it made it seem like I didn’t come early at all and without my paperwork filed out. She added that to whomever she was talking to in the back. I don’t know if I was made to wait so long because of her phone call or if they were actually backed up but I know a lot of people Entering after me where being seen way before me. We will see how my follow up visit goes?? Had my second appointment. Didn’t go well! I’m still in pain and I was so upset at the way I was treated at my last visit that I actually started to tear up! Time to find a new dr.U don’t feel comfortable asking for anything when everyone is so rude to you!!

Never a long wait to see the doctor. Dr. Andros and staff are always courteous and professional. Dr. Andros performed my prostate procedure. No problems since.

Dr Tek is my guy. I have complete confidence in him and his personality makes me feel comfortable. Kinda glad Dr A was booked up.

Writing this as Im now waiting 40 minutes past my scheduled first thing in the morning appointment time. some office workers not wearing masks while making comments about patients not wearing masks. oops 45 minutes now.

The staff here are great! Dr. Burns and Nicole Miroballi i have dealt with alot and the most down to earth professionals in this industry. i am very comfortable speaking with either of them about any questions/issues i may be having.

These are some of the most wonderful, professional people I’ve ever met. I’m a 66 year old with cancer, and I wish all my medical doctors and nurses were this great. I don’t understand negative comments, except maybe it’s hard to be sick. God Bless. Special call out to Ryan Lewis; such a caring medical person that one feels like he is a member of my family.

I was so impressed with this office and the whole staff. The check in person, the nurse who took my vitals, Dr. Ryan Manecke who explained everything Including tests to be ordered to figure out a diagnosis and what my options would be after we find a diagnosis, the person who drew my blood, and the person who checked me out were all pleasant, personal and professional! I would highly recommend Dr. Ryan Manecke and his group!

I am very pleased with staff and the facilities. I have never waited more than ten minutes. The majority of tests that might be needed are done right on sight.

This by far the best place Ive encountered as a medical facility...called several other places to get a vasectomy done and to pay out of pocket as I dont have insurance I was give more than fair price and it was more affordable for me to visit their office 3hrs away than to get it done in my home town...staff is above amazing people and the doctor and nurses made you feel at home...Id give 10 stars if it would let me!!!!! I highly recommend Advanced Urology and the doctor was phenomenal! Consult and procedure was about 45 minutes total and I did not feel a thing. A vasectomy is something you debate and research for months, dont waste your time. Just make the appointment here and get it done. I cant say enough positive comments and not one single complaint

This place is horrible! The staff is incompetent and rude! They sheduled my fiance for a procedure, had him take the preop medications then when he arrived they couldn’t do it because they placed the wrong date on the referral, after going back and forth they told my fiance he can just pay out of pocket $4000 and that he should have gotten his own referral approved, they were very unprofessional and inconsiderate. So the ending result was a days work missed, unnecessary consumption of medications and no procedure. No one had ID badges on so you didn’t know if you were talking to a nurse or secretary. The lady at the front desk was very rude and kept cutting us off when we spoke. I do not recommend this urology office to anyone. Instead of owning up to their mistake they blamed my fiance when it was their office scheduled the appointment. Horrible first impression!!!

If you want a Dr.s office that puts you and your health over money then DONT go here. Had an appointment here for one of my kids at this facility as it was a confirmed In Network with my health insurance. When we got there, I was filling out the responsible party portions of the paperwork, it stated, I understand that I have the primary responsibility and obligation to pay the Physician for all services, irrespective of any contract or arrangement with any third party, such as insurance company, employer, union or other party. The professional fees which I am responsible for are those established by the physician. This statement indicates that even though its a contracted insurance I must pay for all charges not just what is determined by insurance as the patient portion and co-insurance. When I questioned them about this statement, I said this was not right, that they could not charge more than allowed by insurance because its an in-network contract. They said thats their policy and that if I didnt sign it they would not see my child. So we left and I called the insurance company. The insurance company was able to confirm that it is not appropriate or ethical for the office to bill in such a manner and an official complaint was filed against the office. They should not be in-network if they are going to try to bill patients above and beyond the in-network charges.

I waited over an hour for a procedure only to be told that the doctor had to perform surgery—I only found this out after I asked how much longer I should expect to wait (they couldn’t be bothered to reach out to me in the waiting room). This was after they made me reschedule due to the doctor scheduling a procedure during my originally-scheduled appointment. I appreciate when doctors understand that our time is valuable too, which is something they lack at Advanced Urology Associates.

Dr. Andros performed the URO lift on me on Friday, Jan. 15, 2021 at the Riverboat office. Surgery went very good as I did not have much pain at all. In two weeks, I was 90% improved from the problems, I was having prior to the surgery. Getting up in the middle of the night has been reduced by half and I am still seeing improvement every day since. Dr. Andros did a great job on improving my urination problems.

I would give this facility no stars if I could. The staff are EXTREMELY unhelpful, they have no knowledge of ways to conduct proper business. The Dr at the facility requested that I return for a follow up and upon my return I was told I couldnt see him because my referral from my pcp was expired. Mind you I called the facility days before my apt to confirm and ask if I was required to do/bring anything and they said no. This was an entire waste of my time after I had to wait several weeks before I could get an apt and took the day off from work.

Id give 0 stars if possible!!! I work in the medical field and can honestly say Ive never been compelled to write a bad review or say something so negative of another medical office in all my life. However, as a person of integrity and compassion for my fellows I simply could not be a bystander to the amount of incompetency and lack of concern I personally witnessed from this facility.The employees affiliated with Advanced Urology are a disgrace to the medical community!!! The staff doesnt even pretend to care. They are extremely rude and unprofessional. Please for the love of ALL things that matter to you in life seek other options for any urological needs you have. If you feel as though this review is bias and decide to take the chance then I highly recommend you be prepared to receive nothing but stress, aggravation and headaches! Sincerely, the healthcare worker and loved one of a kidney patient on dialysis.

Dr. Andros and all the staff here are very nice and welcoming. I felt like my concerns were listened to and I recieved the very best care.

If I could give a zero I would. The hubby scheduled an apt to get snipped, he was unable to make the apt due to switching jobs, so we called, called the apt via phone message. Apparently the notes werent marked properly and the office continues to send us bills for $150.00 fee for no show. We continue to call and state we did call, check your messages, they state its our words against their notes, or lack there of. When his insurance kicks in, we try once again to schedule the apt, and we are told Sorry, you cannot schedule the apt until to pay the $150.00 fee. So in other words, they will turn away our 1,000 profit for not receiving the $150.00 that I DONT OWE...WOW....unbelievable. More money focused then you are about heath of others!

I arrived 10 minutes late. Waited 5 minutes to see to see an associate. She wanted to set me up for an examination of my bladder. That was before I spoke to anyone about the results of my 3 day record of urination and liquid intake. I suggested I didnt need that test. She, the associate led me out of the examining room and told me to take a seat in the waiting room. I waited approx. 15 minutes and was led back into a different exam room and was told Dr. Cho would be with me soon. I waited a half hour before seeing Dr. Cho. After about 10 minutes of discussion, Dr. ho said I should try some bladder medication for 30 days and come back. Total length of time at the facility was approx. 90 minutes. After which nothing was resolved. I have been seeing Dr. Cho for more that 2 years and 3 surgeries with no positive results. I am unhappy.

Dr. Nguyen and the staff at Advanced Urology are the best! The scheduling is excellent, (Ive never experienced a lengthy wait time).

Dr. Andros and his entire staff, from the front office to the nurses and technicians are top drawer in skills and in how they treat their patients. I have been to Mayo Clinic for other problems and received timely, compassionate and high quality evidence-based care. Dr. Andros and Advanced Urology Associates provide Mayo-level medical care.

Dr. Burns and staff took excellent care of my aging father. Same day appointment. Great follow up with staff. Highly recommend.

After ending up in the ER with my first bout of kidney stone pain, I was referred to this practice. After about 6 months I had to switch to another practice/doctor. Just too many problems getting calls back, incredibly long waits to see the doctor for appointments (even very early in the morning), not helpful response from on call doctor, a bit of a know it all attitude from one of the doctors regarding something that he ended up being completely wrong about, etc.I very recently had another ER visit and ultimate stone extraction under the care of my new doctor and the difference in the stent I just had compared with the two I had with AUA last year is like NIGHT AND DAY. I was SO uncomfortable with the ones they gave me. But the one I just had from my new doc, I could barely tell it was there. I had awful bladder spasms with my first stents afterwards and none so far with the one I just had. My new doctor is much older and more experienced and Im so happy I switched.

Quite pleased with the addition of Nicole Miroballi, NP. She was very helpful on my recent visit. Her background in GYN is very helpful for a patient with IC, and other issues.

Office easy to get to, clean office and bathrooms, and staff very efficient. Hardly any wait time, usually less than 15 minutes.

Best urologist in Joliet. Caring Compassionate doctors. Been with them for almost 20 years. Great service.

If I could give more stars I would!!!! Started seeing Dr. Andros 5yrs ago for my IC he is hands down the most caring and compassionate doctor when it comes to IC and how complex and so different from person to person. He explains what you can do and understands if something is too scary and let’s you make the choices with your body. He will be my IC Doc for as long as he is in the IC game!!! Next, is Doctor Thai Nguyen who literally saved my life when I was told I had Kidney Cancer. I first saw Dr. Andros with my CT and by the next day he had me in to see Dr. Nguyen. This man is literally God when it comes to robotic surgery. Its like his hands are magic and his crazy knowledge of Kidney Cancer and everything that it entails!!!! He will literally draw out for you everything that is going on, what he will be doing and what will happen. I swear his brain is crazy smart and his hands are powered by God!!!! Last is Ryan Lewis what an ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC man!!! I’ve had to see him twice due to a scar pocket from my kidney surgery and he takes his time, explains everything, tells me to get in touch if something changes and even calls to see how things are healing!!!! Seriously who gives a “how are you doing” call these days?!?!?! As long as I’m in Illinois I will always go to Advanced Urology and if I’m not will travel here to have these excellent people care for me and all my scary!!! These guys are total Cool Beans in my book and I can’t write enough words to praise them or their individual talents!!!!

If you ever thinking about getting a vasectomy this is the place to go Dr.Burns and his assistant Hannah was excellent.They made sure I was very comfortable at all times.They had great music and great conversation and they did a Excellent job love that place ❤

What an absolutely awful telephone system! I called just to verify an appointment and as I type, I have been on hold for over 30 minutes. I was told via electronic voice that I am 10th in line. What the hell are these people taking calls doing there? I have been listening to Problems Peeing commercial much too long. Enlarged prostates are a big thing, no pun intended...blah blah blah. This place is awful. After 75 minutes on hold, I was told the practice has all of two receptionists! DO NOT USE ADVANCED UROLOGY ASSOCIATES IN JOLIET!!!!!!! Patient service is obviously last on their list.

People were courteous, caring, and professional.

I had the green light laser surgery . The next they took out the catheter and I was able to urinated like I was 20 years old again. Please dont hesitate if you are having problems urinating ,find a urologist Like Dr Sawhney I feelGREEEEAAAT

Tried to get a follow up appointment for my son after ER visit and the refused to see him. One visit is the law that they have to see you if the hospital tells you too see the doctor on call. I really think the staff were very rude and unprofessional.

Every visit I am seen promptly and the staff is friendly and professional.Dr. Marks addressed all of my concerns before my surgery.

Dr D is the best! He took very good care of my husband! He’s very personable and explains everything in detail!

They don’t doing good job, They do not care what the patient feels, they were supposed to fix my problem and it is just as bad and the information of the biosia, does not say anything, now I have the strongest pains and many difficulties, stay the same as before and just throw the trash the money. the last time they just told me to seek the opinion of a second doctor.
